It's time for a new dmm; either th Fluke 175 or 177 would be a step up for me. In looking around, MSP for them are $300 and $330 delivered. How can this guy in Ohio be selling a 175 for $145 - obviously there's $20 shipping here and maybe no leads. But, is it "Too good to be true?"

Probably legit, but use Paypal if possible. Ask if the mfr warranty applies.
Also ask if it's returnable within 30 days for a full refund.

With eBay, the buyer has all the power. Even if the seller does not offer a refund policy, the buyer can always claim that the item was not as described, open a case with eBay, and get their money back.
I'd still rather go through a Fluke distributor and get a legit product than having to go through the hassle of eBay refunds.

Probably East Asian stock, so bought without either warranty or back up from Fluke, the risk you shoulder for grey imports exploiting differential pricing to penetrate different markets. I have bought a new one such as this and its faultless, I'm delighted. But I do feel a bit stink about not going through the distributor tbh.
Thanks all.
I gave it some thought, almost sprung, but backed off and bought it from Amazon. About $100 premium for the peace of mind.

Considered the 121GW EEVBlog meter? Its on my list of equipment to get if I suddenly get a windfall. https://www.eevblog.com/product/121gw/
Most advice on Fluke is that they’re fine, but, for the money, you can do better. Likely true. But not sure I could make a good judgment.
