hi,
im thinking about building an ob speaker... seeking some advice and input.
im considering using the neo8 on top with two hivi m8 below the neo8 both physically and in frequency.
what do you think good idea or not? i like the looks of the m8 speakers and especially when using really dark wood for the baffle.
im also consideting building a closed bass for the bottom, either dual for stereo or or a single sub, here i have no real thoughts put into it yet.
im sure im going bi-amping or tri-amping for this project. id build it around the rod elliott pcb for three way active filter 24db per octave before the amps.
so... good component choices or not? should i consider something different? what about the bottom end? ive looked at the sdx10 or 12 which looks like a competent component. i prefer a sealed, as small as possible, box and im not sure this is the right driver for me.
purpose, music and radio. no ht use.
so ideas, cricticism and feedback is welcome before i embark....
what cross over frequencies should i go for? i will experiment of course but i would enjoy the collective wisdom of the community!
thanks,
par
