This is my first post and first diy attempt. I've been reading this forum for some time and I find it very informative and since I have no real experience I thought I'd ask for some advice.
Firstly I was thinking what should I go for multi way or full range I came to conclusion full range seems smart for first attempt (no filters - less troubles).
After some reading, browsing and looking for driver that would suit my taste I considered MarkAudio alpair 10. I like all sorts of music but I love low bass. Not loud and rap/hip hop kind but if it's recorded it should be heard 😀 I know alpair 10 is kind of small driver to produce low bass but I don't expect it to play loud, I would like audible bass to let's say 30 Hz (lower is better).
I've drawn design for speakers, kind of mixture of TL and TQWT and I'd like to hear some thoughts if this would work at all and how do you think it would preform. Also I'd like to hear if I should consider any other driver, I haven't bought anything yet. My current amplifier is Rotel RA-971Mk2. I will probably get something else in future but not very soon.
I'm looking forward to any thoughts and suggestions.

Do you have a diagram of driver and speaker response curve?

Without considering flatness of response, a sure way of increasing bass response and extension would be to modify the present diagram by installing a 90° "cone" expanding from the last inflection of the bass "horn". That way you would get a bigger mouth and it won't look bad either...

I have no software to simulate response of speaker.
I'll try to modify design in the way you mentioned and yes it would probably look even better. 😎

That's nice modeling for sure.
Couldn't tell you if its will work in the real world but sure looks nice in the virtual world.

You might want to model the response with a decent program before you build, or go any further with your design. For example without a back chamber in your current design you may have difficulties controlling what frequencies exit the mouth. You may be able to attenuate things with stuffing, but then again you might not. The design is small and fairly short so you might not get the bass response that you are looking for. Modeling is well worth the effort before you begin cutting wood. It is possible to get really nice bass from a small full range driver, I did it with the Jordan JX92 in a backloaded horn, but size and driver excursion do matter. Modeling would tell you what to expect with the small design that you propose. For 25 dollars Martin King's mathcad models are worth their weight in gold. I think that the Alpair 10 would be a great driver to base a design on. Very nice render by the way.

I'm glad you like virtual version though it doesn't matter much since it doesn't play any music 😉 hopefully this summer I'll be able to listen to non virtual version.

This is more like preliminary design and since I have no experiences so far I thought I'd try to draw something and go on from there. I am thinking about Martin King's mathcad models, heard a lot of good stuff about it. Probably I'll try build some temporary speaker box for testing before final one. At the moment I'm more in phase of gathering information.
