After building my second amp I went back to my first build, a 5F1 stuffed into a Fender Squire 8" cabinet. With what I'd learned since I built it, I rewired the 6.3 heaters (lifted off ground, grounded the winding CT, and improved the lacing), added an input jack that grounds with no plug, added a pilot LED (off the 6.3AC with a diode and resistor) and a faceplate (don't need to label the controls on this one!). I think I am now done! Is dead quiet, and looks much better. I cut costs with a $25 Weber RVB PT and SS bridge for 345 VB+, and split the chassis to make it fit the tiny cab. Is now in my den as a practice amp!

Why do all your threads seem to have shouty titles? Clearly your Caps Lock key isn't stuck, or do you use a different keyboard for the title?
