Hi guys, new to this so please be kind. I have some ev elimators and one of the drivers has about had it, I think there 8 ohm 350w. I also have some drivers from a ev force I 25 but think these are 4 ohm and not sure of the watt but around the same i think. Can I just replace the two drivers with out changing anything else. Thanks
Hi Stu,
Not really. The Eliminator is a 2 way so when you change the impedance of the driver, you are changing the crossover frequency. You really need to replace the driver with the same.

Thought so, the only problem is a new ev driver is expensive and the cab could do with a new horn driver as well. Might have to see if I can buy a good second hand one. It's odd because the other cab and both the subs are spot on. Thanks for your reply.
Wait a minute. The Force i25 is a dual 15" at 4 ohms so the woofers are 8 ohms each in parallel to give 4 ohms so while it's not perfect, it may, I say may, work OK. Try it and find out.
Thats a good point the force 25's where a dual 15. If I try this will it damage my amp if its not right. I have expensive amp and my cheap back ups dead.
Thanks for the advise cal, i put it in to test if and it's spot on, the sounds not as good as the original driver but will do till I can source another original. thanks 😉
Good news Stu.
They are a little pricey aren't they?
