Eros Tweeter?!

I think the Eros tweeter was discussed in a recent thread, but it doesn't really address my question.

I'm looking to build a set of Eros!:

The two recommended inductors are discontinued, so I just replaced those with equivalent value Jantzen copper foil inductors at PE.

But the big problem is that the recommended ScanSpeak tweeter (PE 276-510) is discontinued. Can anyone recommend a good replacement that won't require a change in the x-over?

AFAIK it's not actually discontinued, PE just stopped selling them for some reason. Madisound still lists the 9500 🙂

I believe Parts Express's new RS28A reference tweeter can be swapped in without any changes, plus it's much cheaper and plenty of people over there think that it sounds as good as or better than the SS9500. Go ask over at the PE board to make sure though.
