I am starting to feel that the sound of Op amp is acceptable to great, and that tone contgrol can be made to sound good!
I intend to make graphic EQ with BJT or FET as gyrator that turn Cap to L equiv, instead of using op amp with each band, the reason is that in my Mac pre amp with EQ, I can hear that the quality of op amp there really influence the oeveral quality of sound.
Any advise as if FET will be better then BJT?
Also, if I increase the 150K at the summing op amp feedback loop, will it give the stage a decent gain, such that if I add a volume control in front I willl have a tone control with gain in 1 stage insteat of a seperate line stage?
