I have an EPSON 7100 projector, and it has a very strange problem - you guys are the people most likely to be able to offer advice
Firstly the NO SIGNAL blue page is fine, no problems - but as soon as you
use the OSD it has a magenta ghost to the left - and when you look at any
inputs you get a magenta bar on right edge, it only seems to have the
ghosting on orange/brownish colours - red does it slightly, green and blue
colours do not cause any ghosting ( OSD is orange hence it gets the
problem )
also to note is white does not cause ghosting - a white square on black is perfect so it's not an LCD alignment problem I think
Any ideas what this might be - and could it be fixed ?
Thanks,
James

The problem is in the controller for the three LCD's that's on top of the optical engine. It's $150 the last time I checked. You won't be able to repair the board itself and there isn't a service menu. You could email Epson support or get rid of it. Epson/Seiko makes crap IMHO.
