TU-8888 How to adjust the bias
 Prepare a minus screwdriver with less than 5.5mm width for adjustmen
Bias adjustment
(1) Before turning ON the power, turn “ip1 + ip2 (BIAS) ADJUSTMENT” fully to the counter-clockwise direction.
Also, set “DC BALANCE ADJUSTMENT” to the center position
(2) Turn ON the power and wait until the output tubes are warmed up. (Around 3-4 minutes for KT88, and 5-6 minutes for KT150, KT170, etc)
(3) Turn up“ip1 + ip2 (BIAS) ADJUSTMENT” gradually, adjust the volume so that the needle of the“ip1 + ip2” meter (upper scale) comes within the green
zone. The needle is not quite stable and it will swing a little but this is normal.

DC Balance Adjustment
(4) Next, adjust the DC balance. Pressing the switch button “PUSH TO BAL. ADJ.”next to “DC
BALANCE ADJUSTMENT”and turn “DC BALANCE ADJUSTMENT” until the needle comes within the green zone of the “ip BALANCE”(lower scale)”.
(5) When the amp is kept energized, “ip1 + ip2” tends to raise a little. So check the level several times,
ex., after 10 minutes and after 30 minutes, and adjust again. Energize for around 1 hour and confirm
the level becomes stable.
Then the bias adjustment is complete.
