For those who like to get to the point and not read too much, I am looking for a second matching OPT for this amp. Read on if you want to know why…

I was at some guy’s place to pick up some other gear and he invited me to rummage with him thru his stuff. There buried behind some boxes is this pretty ugly, but complete B-2000. Tubes included. I’m not a musician, but I have been getting into building Hi-Fi tube amps, so I’m sure I would use some of the parts some day and I buy it.

It’s a 4 x 6L6GC parallel push pull with some really heavy iron in it and designed to drive a 2 x 15 4ohm cab. Has some 12ax7 and 12at7’s in the driver/tone stack. Reading on the web it seems it was a Fender Showman/Bassman clone.

Looking around, it doesn’t seem to have much resale value, so I am going to pull it apart and build something I want.

So at this point, I am wondering if I could convert it to a stereo 6L6GC push pull. Would seem I could drive the OPT into an 8ohm load with just 2 tubes each channel in PP. (i.e. ½ the tubes, but 2x the secondary impedance) Does that seem right?

Hence my question. Does anyone know where I can get a second OPT. The one in there has the following marking and dimensions and I can't ID it anywhere;
- 80-0057 and 682313 printed on it
- 4” x 3” with 1.5” lamination stack (measured not including the covers)

Thanks in advance for any help!!
