I have just finished recapping a dual showman reverb.
Every electrolytic replaced. Amp sounds wonderful, but I think there should be more reverb. There is fair amount, but I am not in surf territory.
Fresh tubes, and rca Jacks cleaned, tank inductors fastened.
Thought the reverb would go "way out", am i wrong?
Kind regards

Oftentimes someone hooks up the reverb tank incorrectly---you could try reversing the in and outs.
Thanks for the replies🙂
Here is a link to the schematic

The reverb dies completely, when i reverse the hookup to the tank, So i guess thats not it.
Tried another tank as well, and no difference. Maybe it is the way, it is supposed to be.

This one of the ways; it doesn't have to be the only way.
If you're handy with a soldering iron, you may try to change the 2 resistors I circled.
As is, the signal at the output of the spring is attenuated 3:1 by these.
You can try to change them to 2 pcs. 330K so the attenuation is 2:1. This may also change the overall sound lightly.
If you're not, risking your life for a bit more of the surf vibe is not worth it, IMHO.

Thanks. I´ll at least check these resistort again....maybe they have drifted, and maybe i didn´t cath it with the meter last time.
And maybe I´ll give it a try....will let you know how it goes 🙂

If the amp becomes silent with the reverb tank plugs swapped, there's something wrong with it. A clean, unprocessed signal must pass the amp even without the reverb tubes in place.
Best regards!
Best regards!
When you say every electrolytic cap replaced , make sure that includes the 2 off 25uF/25V cathode bypasses for V3 (Reverb Drive) and V4A (Reverb Recovery).
