I like the possibilities offered by this approach
Sub-Woofer Controller
but using a Linkwitz transform controller
Linkwitz Transform Subwoofer Equaliser
Somewhere on this forum I've seen some very favourable comments on a car sub woofer speaker, but, of course, coming back I can't find the thread.
All I can remember was that it had a rather complex segmental magnet assembly. Can anybody help identify it please. Also if anyone has built one of these sub woofers would they please get in touch (nothing found on a search, of course). Thanks
Steve

Would a Lanzar Optidrive 1232d be an alternative to the Alpine?
It's certainly a beast. I'm a bit stuck by what I can get hold of in the wilds of France. Alpine has a dealer in our local one horse town.
Can anyone help with calculating the resonant frequency of a speaker in an IB enclosure ? WinISD doesn't seem to do it.
Steve
