I'm in dire need of a suggestion for drivers in building a center channel. I'm thinking about something much like the PSB Stratus c5i (10.7liter sealed box, 2 * 5 1/4 in mid-base, 2 * 1 in highs, box tuned at 53 hz, spl at 92db, butterworth x-over - the PSB one crosses at 2000hz which I find kinda low)
I'm a noob at the diy business and this would be my first project (but I've been reading up for almost 3 months now). So any comments/suggestion will be much appreciated.

The Audax seems to get good reviews, and seems like a real bang-for-the-buck.

Works OK if you are sitting dead center but not if you are off to one side. There is the issue of output too. You cant get the same output level you could with a center speaker and you cant adjust the parameters of the center if you run virtual.planet10 said:
