Hi,
Does anybody know what drivers these speakers are using and where I could find a frequency response?
They are the 'Allegro' from HornManufacktur.
Thanks if you can help.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

If its lowther, whizzer seems to have been cut down...could also be AER
FR response will probably be the worst you have ever seen...but you dont listen to measurements 😀

Hi,
I am pretty sure it's a Sonido fullrange speaker from Hungary:

Yeah, with that ring around the driver, it'll probably resemble a comb filter more than anything else.

The ring certainly won't help matters. Forgot about the Sonido units -looks favourite to me. Shape of the phase plug is about right too.
The SFR144 would be perfect for a reasonably sized BIB. 🙂

Hi,
Never heard the Sonido's. I like the basket design and the low rms kg/s. Anybody heard these drivers? I am very curious about how they sound. TSP and the rest of the design looks very good to me. Reasonable x-max etc.
For what i know it's only available factory direct. No distributors outside Hungary.

the wizzer is cut down, I do guess. A very $$$$$$ speaker as all
but not very $$$ to manufacture as usual. If it would not be $$$$$
it certainly would not be regarded as a very good one in the high end gral Lol

Hi!
Why don't you ask the builders of this horns?
We only use Hornmanufaktur's own drivers.
Maybe the best full-range drivers on the market.
Our speakers are designed with highest fidelity and speed in mind.
The drivers have the most advanced high-performance membranes made of plant fibres, whose hyperbolic-parabolic geometry reduces distortion to an absolute minimum while at the same time providing the uppermost stiffness of the sound emitting surface. The membranes have been varnished with a natural resin lacquer developed exclusively for Hornmanufaktur.
Their strong actuation makes these drivers simply perfect for horn speakers.
The speaker baskets were modified with softening materials to avoid resonances.
Best regards, Gerald
