does this highpass for 3FE25 look ok?

in my 2.1 Kinter 3118 boombox the left and right 3fe25-4 get more juice than the point one GRS 10PT.
I dread to spend money on filter parts but figure they might make life easier on the dinky 3FE25.

220uF and a 2mH coil with 5 ohm DCR is what I'm figuring on. Just a cap might do - at lower peak levels

A light-bulb limiter on each 3fe5 might also help.

Are you using 2 3RE25 and just 1 GRS? That GRS is single voice coil. What is all the schematics of connection between drivers?
I am curious, because I have some small fullrange drivers, including 3FE25 and want to build smth like this.

for sure -it would take someone with good skills and eyesight to create a separate signal entry point on the circuit board (I've about lost use of my arms and have non-convergent vision) A line level highpass at the only input for the amp would neuter the "subwoofer" channel from any hope of bass. Kinter's 2.1 amp's bass and treble controls seem to do nothing with regards to boosting bass and treble. At $40 shipped including a 20v/4.7A supply, its tough to criticize the unit.

As far as the crossover for the Faitals, my similiar neo 3FE22s will start to distort above +1mm excursion. I have not tried the ferrite version yet to know if they are different. The Faitals are an excellent choice. Also, does anyone know if the Kinter amp rolls off the bass in the l,r channels as that may affect the need for a crossover? Thats strange if the tone controls don't work. I have a Kinter that has a button that defeats the tone controls.

I played ferite versions, and they seem to my eyes and ears pretty ok with bigger excursion. Not the premium, but I do not have good enough mic to measure distortion levels. And 3FE25 has a pretty stong punch, you will not feel that you are listening to weak little driver. There are many more 3 inch fullrangers which have worse quality for money ratio - you still can get them for 20EUR with VAT in EU. In US there is Dayton and other options.

My Kinter 3118 2.1 amp's tone controls seem not to boost - just cut (?) There is a tone defeat button. With the tone controls "in" and knobs rotated fully clockwise, it sounded about the same as the defeated position. There seems some lowpass action in the "point one" section.

Funny thing- I thought the tone controls on a Kinter 2ch. 12V amp had some boost (???)

My TV system with 3fe25 in tiny Karlson type enclosures and augmented with a PYM1298 (same a Eminence Kappa12A) in a CUBO12 sound real good w.. the Kinter 2.1 amp..
