I'm looking to build (in a loose way) a pair of speakers to go with the Class D amp I'm building, however I lack the space and the tools to start sawing and routing MDF into nice shapes. The size/style I'm looking for is 'bookshelf' or slightly larger.
Is there anywhere in the UK who offer reasonably priced prebuilt or kit-based MDF speaker enclosures/full kits?
I've seen what's available from Wimslow and IPL, but the full kits are a little larger than I need, and alot more $$ than I need. Shipping from abroad seems to add dramatically to the prices (understandably!).
Is the answer a pre-built speaker (say it ain't so!)?
