Digital or analog?

I don't know what to do.😡 I need to take 4 channels of audio, run HP and LP filters on them, sum the LP filter outputs to a LFE channel, and do some equalization. This will go in my car, and I need to set up the filters first, so I can measure the response and figure out where and how much EQ to apply. I don't know whether to do this in analog or digital. Analog would be easy, but it would require many components. Digital should be more compact, but the problem is that I don't know anything about digital filters/DSPs. What should I do? Are there any other simple ways to do this?

Well.......I suppose that you could convince a buddy to buy a Behringer digital crossover thingie...........let him loan it to you...........get an inverter that will power it up........and futz with it to get the right filters. Then build some analog ones.

Yeah, I know......sounds crazy, but old age tends to make one look for the path of least resistance.

Especially if you do not know DSP.
