Hi Guys,

Im wondering if anyone can help with my issue:

I have a Samsung Surround Sound system that i want to connect to my freeview cable box.
The Surround Sound System has a Digital Optical Cable output but my Freeview Cable box doesnt have a Digital Optical Cable port, it just has a Scart port. Im wondering if there is any way for me to connect my surround sound from Digital Optical Cable to Scart?

Thanks in advance for reading and any help is much appreciated!

Mike

You could probably get something like this - however you would at best only get a stereo signal and not Dolby Digital or anything like that.

This will simply take the analogue signal and convert it to digital.

And I'm guessing your receiver already has analogue inputs anyway - so it's kind of defeating the object.

Thanks alot for taking the time out to reply guys!! Much appreciated!

A friend was saying that I may need the following items to get it to work:

Digital Audio Signal Converter (Coax - Optical)
Scart Adaptor + S-Video & Audio/Video In/Out
2 Phono (RCA) Plugs
High End Optical Toslink Cable

What do you think?
Thanks!!

Mike
