I am looking for an active differential probe for my Rigol DS1052E. The usual name brand probes list for more than the price of my scope!
Are there any lesser known brands that work well and don't compromise safety?
I am thinking 1400VDC 25Mhz
How about these folks? Oscilloscope probes and other electronic test equipment accessories from Probe Master

My apologies, didn't see your voltage requirements. So the Tek part I mentioned is not suitable.

I once used
< Bestellen Sie Oszilloskop-Tastkpfe GE8115 DIFFERENTIAL PROBE Metrix Electronics 102-95811-RS online - versandkostenfrei ab 50 € Nettobestellwert. >
elditest GE 8115
when I built a AF power amplifier that could produce lethal voltages for geophysics. It worked as advertized. I think I paid somewhat less.

The 428 Euro price tag is a show stopper for me. The Probemaster unit in the link above comes in at $332.
$322 is a good price. Most of these active HV differential probes are made by a small outfit in Taiwan now. (Even the tEK comes from them.) I have a pair and they are OK. Your other option is to watch eBay for a pair of passive HV probes and use them with the differential function of your scope. There is a Phillips probe that's good for 5KV and the BIG Tek probes. HP made or makes something that no one seems to use. Be real careful using this stuff.
