Does anyone know if there are any differences between these two cones? On Madisound website, some Satori drivers are referred as "reed" while others are referred as "papyrus"? I went SB Acoustic website but could not find any references to "reed" cones. Are they the same? I also notice that the white color drivers on Madisound website are generally referred to as "reed cone" while the dark black color drivers referred to "papyrus".
Reed paper is what is used for the papyrus so they should be identical. There is a white cone edition I saw somewhere, the tech paper attached to it stated these are non-dyed versions of the charcoal ones. I would assume them identical.
The papyrus plant IS a reed. 🙂
It's a bit like saying grape or ftuit. 🙂
