Hi guy's starting to mod my 2900 for use as a CD transport.
I have read about the Auricap mod where the Xclass caps are replaced by 2 0.47 uf Auricaps. I don't have 0.47 uf Auricaps but do have a pair of 0.56uf s ,are these safe to use or do I need to buy 0.46's ?
Thanks in advance,
Gordon

If they are to filter the mains you need to use an X-class cap, it is a saftey issue, plus you will get no real sonic benefit, though some may say you will.

It is dangerous and not to be recomended to change these types of capacitor.
