Hi guys, so I have this old amp which my brother has kindly handed over to me. The problem is the display is no longer working which isn't a major problem as the amp is still functioning as expected. But ideally I'd like it working so wondering what I need to replace, I'm guessing something along the lines of a resistor?
Attached is a picture of the amp
Also another problem is the amp takes a few seconds before it turns on (makes a tick sound) but sometimes makes the speakers pop

If the display is the neon/tube type, check the heater volts, (2.5v) and its potential (-30 ish).
With that flat glass envelope, obvious coloured display details and heavy steel pins, that looks awfully like what I call a Vacuum Fluorescent Display. I guess you could call what you like.... but not Neon. It aint.
Yeah after some research I figured that out 😛
Still the point is how to bring it back to life not how it looks
