These were designed by famous acoustician Mischa Jacobi, for Armin Van Buuren

I'm not able to identify any of the drivers, but I'm particularly interested in the dome mid-range and HF units.

I hope there is nothing illegal to this...? I'm just curious, don't intend to build anything like this...

Could be a dayton dome mid and the tweeter could be a seas dxt (judging from the horn profile). In both cases the grills could have been removed.
Tip, when comparing drivers look for signatures such as number of screw mounting holes (inner and outer)

I like that you called them large format studio......monitors.

Because it would take a very large studio to get far enough from them, at which point they would likely be very nice, the midbasses and midtweeters not having to work hard.

If you think these are big check out the monitors Hans Zimmer uses in his home studio: Quested 415s. 4 for the number of woofers or ways, 15 size of each woofer in inches.
He uses 3 for left, center and right channels, not sure what he uses for rears.
Of course his studio is large enough that you hardly notice the concert grand tucked away in a corner.
