I am looking to power a wireless audio receiver off a power out jack of a video camera. This is to send audio to said camera. The receiver works with 12 vdc, and the cameras power out is 24vdc, so in order to make it work I need to wire it with a 12 volt regulator.
Would a 7812 regulator work well or would another chip work at a lower temp? what other components would I need?
The receiver draws 200mA.
Also, would that amount of power cause any noise to be induced to the balanced audio signal? I plan on using the same 8 wire cable for both audio and powering.
Thanks
