2x4 unbalanced is passive!
2x4 balanced may be active, since it has opamp at the outputs for balancing the signal. But the actual filter may be passive too 😕

to improve sound quality what mods can be done to existing DAC passive out ckt on miniDSP? if miniDSP is following exact ckt as in ADAU1701 datasheet i wonder if sound can be improved by replacing some components.
