CSD algorithm

Hello,
I am looking for the algorithm used to calculate the Cumulative Spectral Decay, also known as Waterfall plot, from the impulse response.
I think it should have apperead on an AES paper: does anyone can help me? I would like to create a program that shows the CSD starting from a Speaker Workshop impulse response.

IIRC it is just a FFT that uses progressively less of the beginning of the signal

do you have any info about the windowing type? MLSSA and Clio suggest rectangular, Easylab uses Blackman/Harris.
Any specific AES paper to look for?
