crossover question about resistors?

hi there just wondering when padding a tweeter should i go for 5watt or 10 watt wire wound ? thanks in advance

It depends on the watts of your amplifier and how loud you want your speaker sings. If you want to learn how to calculate the exact power requirement, you can simply check on ESP site (http://sound.westhost.com), I think there's article about this.

But IME, 10W is enough for normal home audio. And I even use 5W! (My amps are no more than 50W)
