I needed a min 4 ch mixer to take balanced audio from modular/eurorack sources. Not wanting invest much other than time, I decided to buy a Temu small mixer, great small form factor. https://share.temu.com/cY07M7teIOA
Planing to rework the guts, yet to design a new PCB stuffed with a few INA1651. Here is the old and new layout, what is your opinion of this layout?
Old:
New:
How it works:
It can be a 4 channel stereo balanced in / balanced out mixer, or an 8 channel SE in, 2 track SE out mixer. Many mix and match options also by switches.
Preserving the mechanicals, Jacks, pot and switch holes. Will use new identical dual pots and switches.
The 4 input lanes are either 1 x stereo balanced, or by the switch flipped, 2 x stereo single ended.
The PAN pot works in PAN mode for balanced mode, becomes a 2nd volume pot for single ended mode.
The 2nd switch chooses to mix the lane to Track 1 or to Track 2.
Track 1 and 2 can be joined.
The output can be chosen to be single ended for Track 1 and Track 2, or be balanced and only outputting Track 1.
All connections on the front as 1/4" TRS jacks.
