This might be a little out there but wondering if this might be viable- using the two tympani bass panels inside two "L" shaped panels to make sort of a SLOB slot loaded enclosure???
I don't remember seeing it tried with planar magnetics (other than AMT's, but that's pretty far removed from what your'e describing).
In electrostatics, it doesn't work the way most would hope. This thread gets into test results and explanations. Link below is where the tests start. You may want to read the whole thread though. It's been a while since I read it, so most of the details escape me at the moment.

@bolserst may chime in also. Some users check in a little less frequently.

I thot of simialr with my Acoustics, but decided in th eend that the diaphram would just let the reflections from the “cabinet” would come right back thru but with a tie delay.
And with a U you limit the response to low frequencies below a point determined by teh dimensions of the “cabinet”

With the non-parallel walls, the useful frequency should extend above the 350Hz crossover to the mid/tweeter panel as the standing wave issue is not the issue it is with parallel walls.
These are planer magnetic, not electrostatics, so I am not sure how relevant the above would be. Guess I need to buy some plywood and find out.
Appreciate the replies!
