Hello everyone, Please help me to replace the optical output of my tv box to BNC or ani coax output. Will do it directly on the printed plate.
Thanks in advance
Thanks in advance
I will carefully read and than pull out the TORX / desolder/ and replace it with a BNC out, right ??
You can do this if adding an extra hole to your case really bothers you, but IMHO the better option is a bulkhead mount BNC in a new round hole and leaving the Toslink alone. All you need is a small cap and 2 resistors.I will carefully read and than pull out the TORX / desolder/ and replace it with a BNC out, right ??
Thanks but in this case I have to add a swtch for coax/opt imputs ??Keep your opto - its great because the ground in your new nice DAC don't get contaminated by the shitty TV ground.... thanks to galvanic isolation. Opto - the ultimate interface... but not many gets this....

I prefer to cut out /if possible / and try to utilise the inputs from the damaged board and try to transfer it to output one ??

Sorry, sorry. I got confused and mixed up everything. The real problem is that the source I am using has only optical output and the DAC has only coaxial input. I am very sorry for confusing and wasting your time. Since I can not or do not want to change the input of the DAC would be preferrable to change the output of the source. Triyed the chinese convertors unsuccesfully /on top I beleive they are spoiling the quality of the sound/. So please exuse my ignorance again and will try to use your suggestions above
