Hi All,
Connection help please....
I have a Shure SCM810 mixer that handles 8 wireless mics for a conference room set-up. I want to connect that output to an Acer Chromebox that has a TRRS connector.
I thought I could just use an adaptor to separate mic & headset from the TRRS plug and then just connect the ouput from the mixer to the mic input on my splitter :: ground to ground and left & right (red+white) together from the mixer. It worked on a Mac Mini before. I read somewhere that the Mac Mini "adjusts" its input to either a mic level or aux input automatically, not sure if the Acer does the same.
Friends are telling me it's more complicated on the Acer because of Ohms, etc. but none can help with proper connection or adaptors. I am also told that just shorting L & R together is not the way to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
