Concert attire?..

Personally I'd probably choose nice but comfortable clothing, so comfort and a reasonable amount of confidence, at least 1 of the garments preferably with some color. All dark/gray/brown does not work for me at least, and some color often makes you easier to remember, everything in moderation. The colors I like to wear are often green, yellow, red, orange, often light colors, not for blinding people.

It's a first time posting about my choice of attire in any forum though, and the last time me and my wife went to any date where we both made any effort in the clothing area was in 2007 or 2008. Now we're just happy to get a few hours of fresh air, we got about 40 happy minutes to ourselves when picking mushrooms this sunday. My tip may be outdated so to speak. 🙂

Edit:
Or maybe you're done with it? You did not specify any time frame.

Wear only a tiny amount of cologne (and I mean a tiny bit)

If it's a spray, spray it into the air and walk into it.

Cologne (or perfume for the ladies) should only be smelled if the other person is right
up close to you. To much and it appears that you stink and are trying to cover it up

Mom always said cologne is for after your shower, not instead.

I think Jan summed it up, and we can't forget sthcoaster's bit.

On top of it all, TheGimp is a man after my heart, from the waist up that is. I am most often seen in public with a Hawaiian shirt and either a straw cowboy hat or sombrero if it's really sunny.

Its almost a festival

All the festivals I went to were in Florida in the summer. Hot, humid and dirty. After literally losing my shirt at Lollapalooza 96, I learned to go to these shows dressed in only a pair of cargo shorts with buttons or zippers on the pockets to avoid being pickpocketed (wallet in lower front pocket).

Seriously, look for some Youtube videos from previous shows from the same tour that show some of the crowd, and see what people (couples) from your age group are wearing.

The show, and venue makes a big difference in how you and everyone else is dressed. What I would wear to a outdoor festival featuring Soundgarden and Metallica (Lollapalooza 96) is totally different from what I would wear to the symphony. What I wear to the symphony on a night of classical music is different from their once a season "symphonic rock" show (jeans, flip flops and a Moody Blues T shirt).

Definitely agree with all of that! Somebody directed me to: Custom Suits & Custom Dress Shirts, Tailor Made for You | Men's Wearhouse

LOL I think that's definitely tooooooo dressy. Might be sweating the hell out of a suit.

15 years ago I had a fall from a scaffold, shrugged it off and went home to bed.
At 4:00 am or so I decided the pain in my back was not getting better, so slid off the bed onto the floor, put some clothes on and headed off to the local hospital.
Once there I was put straight onto an X-ray table and had to pull my trousers down......you guessed it, I had forgotten to put undies on, doh.

Dan.
