It says in the listing that these were built by Colin Whatmough but I doubt these were designed by him

Very busy and far too many drivers in my opinion but what do others think?
Perhaps worth buying to separate the components?

You never know with second hand gear just how old it is or how much stick it has been given.
I have always built my own speaker cabinets so I know what is in them and how old they are.
I have been caught out on ebay a couple of times with second hand gear that simply was worn out.

Who ever made them, it sure looks like one messed up design. Reminds me of the 1970's when drivers were placed slap dashed in whatever way the designer fancied.
looks like a random assembly of drivers, at 3 grand i wouldnt touch it.

if it not sounds nice, what I expect, you can use the drivers to make an excellent speaker because they are very good. But I would neve buy a speaker, specially a DIY one, without listening to it before. That's my advice. 😉
It's a goofy design, too many drivers, firing in too many directions, too many speaker connections, it will make sound, and probably will be "interesting". Probably not enough bass, it's unclear what makes the bass from the pix... whatever.
The driver compliment might almost be worth the asking price... IF you could use them for something.

Maybe it was built to be a demonstration model using different combinations of drivers in the shop at A1 Audio
it's a waste of some good and pricy drivers! and an attempt to turn them to an ugly alien-looking creature with 13 eyes!! surly won't sound good, if it still sounds good, it won't give me a sense of pleasure with that look.

More than AU $330.00 it's too much...
