Welcome to diyAudio Jan
If its an RIAA preamp then you are probably best posting the question over in the Analogue Line Level forum. This is for intros really.
If an opamp is an unknown then you can make a guess by checking the power supplies which will be on pins 4 and 7 for a single and pins 4 and 8 for dual opamp. RIAA stages probably use a low noise bipolar rather than FET device. Typically this would be an NE5532 which was the industry standard.

help with a service manual on a ClearAudio Basic+ ? or tell the model of OP-AMP in the unit.
They remove the markings, so probably that information isn't available.
Yes i know..... But mabye some one know it or got the service manual of this unit.
If they remove the op amp markings, there is probably no service manual.
Trace out the pin out and make sure that you are not installing the replacement the wrong way around. Either that or it is oscillating. Standard duals have +Vs connected to pin 7 and -Vs to pin 4. I would check that first.
What op-amps have you tried so far?
Did you install sockets?
