Some people are mentioning a $63 8 channel USB mixer, that- alas- has a wicked 1000Hz hum.
I don't suppose anyone's opened one up and tried to trace down or filter out the problem noise? Would be great to have an affordable multichannel input device, and it looks like there's a huge amount of value here, if the fatal flaw can be worked around.

Cheap and nasty. Seen the video and \i am not convinced that a different mains outlet will stop the 1KHZ whine! How can it?
Cheap and nasty switch mode power supply? Perhaps changing this might help. I can't see much else (i.e. on board effects, dynamics processors, etc.) that could generate a 1kHz tone.
