Hiya folks,
I'm completely frustrated trying to change an LM741 opamp schematic symbol in EagleCAD, so that the inverting pin is at the top and the non-inverting at the bottom. The default is the other way round. I've tried 'gateswap' and 'pinswap' and editing in 'Open Symbol' (which I can edt in but not seem able to save).
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
ff

Not sure about Eagle but in many CAD suites you need to open or decompose the part, edit it and save it as a different part. It is not always possible to edit a standard part.
Anyway, this is just for cosmetics, right?
Gateswap and pinswap normally only act when wiring up or when doing layout, they do not change the symbol which is just a drawing.

Hi Jan,
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Got the image open in the editor and was able to edit it, but evferytime I went to save, it would try to save as a whole library, and the edited part wasnt it in. I know it's probably something very simple.
Thanks,
