Fuses are fuses, they come in fast or time delay, they come in all manner of currents. Glass ones could shatter in some instances, while the ceramic ones will not. Look up the particular fuses you have access to, the maker should have a data sheet with time curves for each value. If they open at 7A plus the stated margin in a similar amount of time, they should be fine.
In other words they should carry 7A all day, and (and I am making up these numbers now) maybe half an hour at 8A and 2 minutes at 9A, etc.

The service manual doesn't state the type of fuse so an 'M' type for microwave use will be ideal.

The lawyers of america are driving the use of ceramic in fuse cases. Ceramic is Less likely to shatter, less likely to expose some idiot to electricity who will then sue. The fact that you can't tell a ceramic fuse is blown without using a meter is not material to any lawyer or jury
