Dear all, I have ordered a new Burson clock for my CD80 Low Jitter Clock
The new one is 11.0592 MHz, but the original crystal is 11.2896 MHz.
Is the frequency difference a problem or can you just slot it straight in?
Note I also have some burson opamps HD Audio Opamp , and have found myself a TDA1541A S2 double crown DAC
While I have browsed the posts on the CD80, any case specific advice beyond these mods would be appreciated
Cheers
Sam

I didn't....... we discussed the clock, I sent them the service manual and they said i needed an 11mhz clock...
Perhaps they accidentally sent me the wrong one.

It all depends if everything sounding about a third of a semitone flat counts as a problem. Many people wouldn't notice - it will also extend the playing time of your CDs by almost 2mins for the longest ones😀
