I would like to mod the Teac C-1D cd player. Apart from the opamp mod, what else can I do with this? The cap in the circle may the the output buffer but i am not sure. There is no value on it therefore I am not sure what can I change. I have already got the service manual. Any suggestions are welcome.
The service manual are available and I am glad to share if you want to have a look. Thanks.

I bet those caps do have values printed on them. Look at the other side of the cap. You'll likely see three digits representing the value of the cap.
Take C130 (the larger one by the screw in the bottom of the image) for example. It says 104 on it. That's 10*10^4 = 100000 pF or 100 nF.

Those capacitors and the four transistors belong to muting, I believe. The output coupling caps must be the two electrolytics at the top right (C212 and the other). I might be wrong - refer to the service manual.
An effective upgrade is to replace the crystal with a better clock (connect to Pin 5 of PCM1710U).

Thanks for the info!!

how about the cap position circle in red? I am not sure if I replace it with good cap (e.g. nichicon KZ) can improve the performance.
