As said above I am looking for a stand alone software EQ -

I ran into this site using a Google search for something a long those lines but i ran into a thread from 07' that didn't end up being much help.

I have a 10 band that my sound card's software provides. When I am producing I keep everything flat, but during games I would like to get some more punch out of some of the frequencies. This would be great without having to keep the sluggish sound card manager open. Perhaps some more frequency bands would be nice, although 10 would be plenty.

Something clean and lightweight would be preferable. it doesn't have to be free so I am open to any suggestions.

Thanks.

I use VST's.
There are many out there that are free and sound great.
The noname eq is one of my favorites it is a multiband full parameteric eq.
There are too many to list as all you have to do is Google up Free VST's.
There are all kind of parametric, graphic, line type graphic and not to mention great sounding reverb's, delay's, RTA's and FFT's and as well as amp and speaker simulators.
You can use a stand alone VST host such as Live Professor or you can use it with a player that supports VST's such as Foobar and I think Winamp as well.

jer :)
