Epson-Sanyo says YES! Now, granted these things will probably be SUPER expensive when they first hit the market. But, as prices come down.. No more expensive optics / huge enclosures!!!

It doesn't say how much yet... I would imagine first shipments would be very expensive. Or found in high end laptops, PMPs, etc.

I telephoned with Epson.
Those produce the part only if a manufacturer has interest.
Those have still no tools for production in series.
Up to now there are only hand-made unique pieces for fairs.
If a manufacturer orders LCD, then those possess the tools for production.
Then may supply also only to this manufacturer.
At the telephone the man estimated that we can buy finished equipment with this LCD possibly in approximately 4 years.
