Hi,
I would like to use Black Gate N series caps with 50V rating as cathode bypass caps in a guitar tube amp (I just happen to have them in the right values).
The voltage over the cap is only approx. 1,5 V / 1,6V.
On the BG website they mention a "cathode formation voltage" (http://www.blackgate.jp/ebg.htm). I am not sure if I understand that article correctly: Is it correct that I should not use this cap for my application, as a voltage of 1,6V is not enough for the BG caps to form correctly?
Best wishes
Peter
