Big Full Ranger

Hi DiY'rs...

I like VISATON drivers (I own these babies

Now I am thinking about building a BIG, cheap, full ranger, (maybe with FRS 8 - 4ohm) to use as a surround speaker and in a living room, small system but with some quality...

When i say BIG, I mean a speaker about one meter high, or so... perhaps a transmission line housing???

Check out the Tabaq thread. You won't need a 1m housing for a little driver like a FRS8.

I would recommend an XKi with dual PA130-8 drivers ($18ea) 96dB sensitive and sounds great.

Importing those drivers to EU might be problematic, but if I find the building scheme to those beauties I might Risk it.

the Karlsonator series, specifically the Karlsonator 12, works well with the stamped frame Nirvana Super 10, Eminence 12LTA and Eminence Beta 10cx

here it is with the 10cx - low frequency corner is ~38Hz
