Radik said:Hmm, well if TC sounds makes Eclipse subs, then i thas to be good. I'm not a fan of audiobahn, but that's another story 🙄 . Anywayz, you'll recommended the "RL-i Series driver from SoundSplinter", however i see one that looks better, the "RL-p Premium Series ". What do you'll think bout that instead?
Our TC9 based Premium series will definitely out perform the TC2+ based RL-i series. The TC2+ was likely recommended since you stated you are looking for a comparatively less expensive driver. The TC2+ is also very well known since other vendors such as OAudio have sold them directly and people have done public distortion tests on them, whereas the TC9 driver has been used for some of TC's OEM projects, but has never been marketed fully in public light.
However, the design of the Premium series is capable of much higher powerhandling and abuse from the user thanks to the larger magnet, longer voicecoil, and the addition of dual spider suspension (something the RL-i series lacks). We have our full spec sheets available at the site so feel free to make your own call based upon your desired application. Our units will be stocked and ready for sale by mid-June more or less, and the introductory prices will run for 1-2 months after our final launch. Hit me up with an email if you have any questions. Thanks for your interest 🙂
