Hi all,
Apologies if this has been asked and answered, but I couldn't find an answer with a search.
Has anybody compared the sound of an Aleph using a single, adequately rated transformer to two smaller transformers? For example, two 300 VA transformers for a dual-mono Aleph 30 versus using one shared 600 VA transformer with separate rectifiers and filter capacitor banks per channel.
Are the diminishing returns still audible, or so diminished that there's no point?
Thanks!

One big advantage to dual separated supplies is that
you can break the the internal ground connection between
the supplies, so that the only ground they share is the
input ground at the source. This really kills ground loops
good. For an example, see Zen Variations part 4, or the
Zen lite: www.passdiy.com
