Battery Supply Help.

Yes you should apply caps near to the amplifier (or whatever). The reason is not to filter the low frequency ripple (as it's a battery), but to lower the impedance of the batteries and the connecting wires at the higher frequencies. For this reason, you won't need anywhere near 68000uF, I would maybe use something in the range 100-1000u, bypassed with a 10uF, 1uF and 0.1uF to make sure the impedance stays low at very high frequencies.

Cheers, Adrian

I myself use a one farad capacitor bypassed with some (5) 0.1Uf 50V tantulum caps and on the binding posts I have a .01Uf 500v ceramic cap also included is a 8AG fuse holder that I change fuses according to what I am testing....it works excellent for me

Specific recommendations for bypass caps?

So,

I am going to use those 68,000uf caps... actually parallel 2 of them... 136,000uf total per channel.

What would everyone recommend for bypass caps???

Specific values and part numbers???

Digikey?

Thanks!!!!!!!
