BASEtech AP-2100 to 220V

Hi,

My question might sounds stupid - I'm a real beginner and would appreciate your help:

I'd like to power a small BASEtech AP-2100 to a home 220V source.
Is it possible? If so, what transformer could I use?

Spec for BASEtech AP-2100 are as follow:

Impedance 4 Ω
Impedance constant to 4 Ω
Frequency range 20 - 20 000 Hz
Total audio power (music) 100 W
Power per channel (music) 50 W
Power per channel (RMS) 10 W
Operating voltage 12 V
Product type 2-channel headstage

My speakers are two low quality VISATON FRS 8
30 W
Maximum power
50 W
Nominal impedance Z
8 Ohm
Frequency response
100–20000 Hz

Many thanks!
Alex

No stupid questions. Only ignorant. Ignorance can be reduced.

This is a low-price car-sound amplifier. The "rating" numbers are grossly exaggerated. It clearly works on a 12V 10A feed in a car, and probably can't suck all 10 Amps.

House-powered car-power "220VAC to 12VDC" converters are a very standard product. And really too cheap to DIY.

Amazon.com: AC to DC Converter, HOTOR 8.5A 100W 110-220V to 12V Car Cigarette Lighter Socket
Amazon.com: Acekit 180W AC to DC Converter 110v 220V to 12V Car Cigarette Lighter Socket

These days, most accept 110V-220V. Most in the size you need have a "cigarette lighter" 12V output. Be SURE you get polarity right.

Thanks for your reply,
Ignorant is the word!

The users notice mentions a fuse of 5A, but nothing more, (see pictures attached)

Someone mentioned that it would cost about a 100$ for the right converter... but it would be stupid to spend this for a 30$ car amp...

Are you sure it would work on a 8,5 or 10A?

If so, can I cut it and wire it directly, or should I mount a male cigarette lighter socket?

Many thanks,
Alex
