I am looking for a really simple (but high end!) USB DAC with balanced output for an IcePower 125asx2 poweramp. I am in stereo only and the setup will be PC>foobar>USB DAC>125asx2. All my music (classic, jazz, acoustic) is in flac and mostly CD ripped so neither HiRes nor other inputs are of utmost priority.
As 125asx2 is a simple power solution with -121dbA dynamic range in BTL, I would like to have a similarly simple USB DAC with balanced output directly into the amp as well - preferably with volume control in DAC. Some frills in remote control via a microcontroller (see Hifiduino - great, glt!!!) are possible but the music path should be as stright and simple as possible with great musicality and NO noise! Any thoughts from all the DACs discussed here except the ES9018 way?
