Hello, I'm new here! Wanted to know if anyone can tell me the difference in the tweeters of the B&W 606 S2 vs. B&W 706 S2. I realize the 706 has a coating on it which would affect sound. Would they have similar parameters and crossover values? I believe they both use the same woofer?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide, Dan

Do you have either of these speakers in your possession?

Thank you for responding. I only have the 606 S2, But also have the tweeters of 706 S2 and was wondering if I could swap them out to hear any difference or improvement in sound. I was just wondering if the 706 S2 tweeters require a different crossover.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
The 70x S2 speakers use the HF01511 tweeter, which is a 1" aluminum dome with an integrated heatsink and tapered tube loading.
The 60x S2 tweeter is not the same model. It is the HF01716:
If you don't change the crossover, whether you think it is "better", or not, may due to sheer luck, or auditory preference.
If you swap the tweeters, you generally need to change the crossover.
