Hi there,

I'm very new to class D amps having recently bought a T-amp.

I've decided to try the air cored output inductor version and bought a Autocostuire Fenice 20a.

The amp arrived promptly and in good order however there are some components missing, C31, C32 & C27 & C28. I emailed Autocostuire and was informed this was right, however, C27 & C28 are on the output of the 2024 and the output components appear to be mirror imaged between channels. The other channel has the equivalent components, C29 & C30, in situ, this therefore seems odd.

Does anyone else have this amp and is this OK?, I don't want to play with the amp or power it up since I may have to return it.

I don't have Fenice 20a but I have the other one TA2020 version. 4 caps are missing on my pcb and it's right. Those empty spaces are left for you to add caps to optimize your kit for your speakers of different impedences. The original kit, optimized for 6 ohm speakers, includes 4 0.33uF caps. You can add 4 0.22uF caps to those empty spaces to optimize the kit for a pair of 4 ohm speakers.

I am not sure if Fenice 20a is the same case. But I think probably so.
